Weekly Roundup 5

i. I've been wandering past this oak tree as it turned orange every day for the last few weeks and have been meaning to paint it. It was nice not to worry about my MA project and just to get outside and paint before winter fully kicks in.

ii. We had two more inductions this week. The first was in the letterpress workshop which was really interesting but I cannot see myself using. The second was book-binding. It was so lovely to spend a morning learning the basics of such a beautiful and satisfying craft and I hope to make some sketchbooks over the next few months.

iii. I haven't quite given up yet but I'm continuing to struggle with the woodcut. I think this is partially because it's nearly the end up term: I'm tired and the Christmas break is in sight. Hopefully I can use my time off to figure out a clear direction for my work.
